Acast Partners with TED Audio Collective: 26 New Podcasts

Gandhinagar: In a significant move for the podcasting world, Acast, the largest independent podcast company globally, has announced a new partnership with the TED Audio Collective. This collaboration positions Acast as the exclusive ad sales, hosting, and distribution partner for TED Audio Collective in all regions except Australia and New Zealand.

The TED Audio Collective boasts an impressive lineup of 26 popular podcasts spanning various genres, including business, technology, health, and wellness. Notable titles such as TED Talks Daily, How to be a Better Human, TED Business, and TED en Español contribute to the network’s staggering 176 million global listens each year.

Ross Adams, CEO of Acast, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “The TED brand is synonymous with excellence and is a known destination for the curious. The addition of the entire TED Audio Collective to Acast brings a massive and highly engaged global audience – and importantly monetizable listens – for advertisers around the world to connect with”.

A recent report from Acast, in collaboration with Edison Research, highlights the growing influence of podcasts. According to the Podcast Pulse report, 92% of podcast listeners tune in to learn more about specific topics, while 80% prefer niche podcasts tailored to their interests. Remarkably, 94% of these niche podcast listeners have taken action after hearing a podcast ad.

Alan Seiffert, Head of Global Business Development at TED, shared his optimism about the partnership, saying, “At TED, we are dedicated to discovering, debating, and spreading ideas that spark conversation across our global network. With Acast’s leading ad tech tools and partnerships, we’re confident that this partnership will help to continue to scale the TED Audio Collective around the world”.
