Podcast Powerhouse: IAB Upfront Set to Showcase Industry Boom

The 2024 #IABPodcastUpfront is a marketplace event that brings brands, agencies, and media buyers together with leading audio and podcast companies and create superior marketing opportunities for advertisers

Gandhinagar : The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) is gearing 🚅 up to turn the spotlight💡 on the burgeoning podcast industry🎙 with the upcoming 2024 IAB Podcast Upfront. This marquee event, scheduled for May 9th in New York City, will be a full-day affair teeming with opportunities for podcast publishers and advertisers to connect.

With the support of 18 leading podcast companies, including stalwarts like Wondery, iHeartPodcasts, NPR, and ESPN🤾‍♀️, the Upfront promises a comprehensive look at the industry’s landscape.  A virtual attendance option will also be available for those unable to attend in person.

“Podcasting has evolved into a dynamic force over the past two decades,” said Matt Shapo, Director of Digital Audio and Video at the IAB.  “The IAB has always been a leader in fostering collaboration between advertisers and publishers, and this year’s Upfront will be no different. Beyond individual company presentations, the Upfront boasts a packed agenda. Panel discussions 👍 will delve deeper into industry trends, while the release of the much-anticipated eighth annual IAB US Podcast Advertising Revenue study, prepared by PricewaterhouseCoopers, will quantify the podcasting boom.  This report is expected to showcase a doubling of ad revenue since 2020, a testament to the medium’s explosive growth.
